The Book of Toxoglossa is a handy guide for the recreational shell collector, naturalist and students. Species of the genus Conus have been collected for their dynamic and attractively designed shells. Only during the last few decades, cone snails have become an exciting area for scientific research because of the longstanding popularity and their well-established venomous characteristics.
