The Business Boat
Details
"Running a boat is like running a business, running a
business is like running a boat!"
In this book, the author presents a simple, yet
comprehensive method to better understand and
visualise general business structures and conditions,
as well as more complex Leadership Management
practices. He does this by illustrating,
analysing and applying a personally developed boat
model called The Business Boat to various business
aspects, procedures and situations. In the first
sections, the paper introduces the fundamental
similarities between boats and businesses, three of
today s most essential Leadership Management
disciplines and the application of the Business Boat
model in various significant business scenarios. The
final section centres on the practical application of
two general business models and the development of
business scenarios, in order to demonstrate just how
effectively Leadership Management tools can be
implemented on the Business Boat.
