The case of mobile money transfer in Kenya and Bangladesh

Currently, there are more than 4 billion people in the world with out access to bank accounts. There exists a large segment of people who are deprived of formal financial services. Efforts are being made to bring these segments of the population with in the coverage of formal financial services. Even though the reach of the conventional channels of banking is limited, new models of service delivery aimed at the low-income group is emerging.
