The Colonial Police in British- & German-Eastafrica

The book shows the different developments of the police in the neighboring colonies of British and German East Africa. The structures could not simply be transferred from the mother countries to the colonies. It was a sometimes difficult learning process for everyone involved, but one that was mastered well. After the First World War, the British colonial administration took over a large part of the well-educated Askaris.

The book can hardly be compared with other editions. Some images and findings are published in this book for the first time. The book was also published as a German edition.
