The concept of citizenship in Aristotelian politics

The author examines the origins of citizenship in ancient Greece and leads us to reflect on the role of citizens in today's society. Faced with so many challenges arising in the social fabric, the importance of education and active citizenship in building a more just, fraternal, and egalitarian society is becoming increasingly evident. To this end, citizens must be knowledgeable about their history and develop a participatory consciousness, because isolated in their respective worlds, they cannot bring about change. Only living and acting in society will bring about true transformation.
