This research is a comparative study of two novels written in the 21st century by two female authors from different countries and cultures in the light of feminist literary theory. These novels are "Woman at Point Zero" by Nawal El- Saadawi, the Egyptian novelist, and "A strange woman" by Leyla Erbil, the Turkish novelist. In the first part, feminist literary criticism in Egypt is presented in detail, regarding the female literary experience, women's relations with other people and customs, traditions and relationships from Nawal El-Saadawi's point of view.
