The Contribution of BRI in Egypt Towards Achieving the UN 9th SDG

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and China's Belt and Road Initiative are interlinked in their objectives and vision. The BRI aims to enhance global economic cooperation through designated priority Lists areas of collaboration: Financial Integration, Unimpeded Trade, Facilities Connectivity, Policy Coordination, and People-to-People Ties. This initiative is not only a massive infrastructure development strategy but also a significant effort to facilitate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations. The book examines the interconnection between the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and China's Belt and Road Initiative Priority Lists Areas in Egypt, emphasizing their mutual reinforcement. In particular to SDG 9, which focuses on building resilient infrastructure, promoting sustainable industrialization, and fostering innovation. SDG-9 has eight targets, and their progress are measured by twelve indicators. The initiative can significantly contribute to global development through collaborative efforts, shared prosperity, and enhanced connectivity.
