The Contribution of Soybean Cultivation to Socioeconomic Development

The research was under the theme: The Contribution of Soybean Cultivation Practice to the Socioeconomic Development of Lioma Community in Gurué District (2015-2019). The research had the general objective of analyzing the contribution of soybean farming practice to the socioeconomic development of Lioma community in Gurué District. Regarding the specific objectives, it aimed to Identify the sociodemographic profile of soybean farmers in Lioma community; Assess the level of socio-economic development of farmers practicing soybean farming in Lioma community; and, Explain the gains that may accrue from the intensification of soybean farming practice to the socio-economic development of Lioma community. Methodologically, the research approach was qualitative, the objectives were descriptive, and the technical procedures were bibliographic. In relation to data collection techniques, it was based on interviews, observation, and bibliographic research. The research included 20 participants selected by accessibility, of which 16 (sixteen) farmers, 3 technicians from the District Services.
