The Decision-Making of Saudi Women Students Who Study Nursing
Details
This book focus on the importance of the situation of women and in particular, Saudi women nurses, in Saudi Arabia. Saudi women live in a society where the Qur'an asserts the society respect women and protect their rights and education. Yet, traditional and religious beliefs have seen a discrepancy between the assertion of rights in the Qur'an and social practices in Saudi Arabia. has had implications for the historical trajectory of Saudi nursing. In recent Saudi history, women have increasingly participated in public life in roles such as teaching, medicine, and nursing. Nursing, however, continues to be perceived by society as a low-status occupation and this stereotypical image, held by Saudi society as a whole, has obstructed women from practicing this profession.
