Child malnutrition in Ethiopia is one of the most serious and the highest public health problem. This study attempts to study the determinants of health and nutritional status of under five children using data collected in Ethiopia and health survey (EDHS 2011). A total of 9158 under-five age children were included in present study. To analyze data descriptive statistics, multiple linear regression, univariate multilevel linear regression and multivariate multilevel linear regression techniques were employed using socio-economic, demographic and health and environmental variables as explanatory variables and measure of health/nutritional status with stunting, wasting and underweight as response variables. The result of analysis shows that educational status of mothers, household economic level, and toilet facility, sex of child and age of the child are the most significant variables.
