The development of a Christian charitable mission: EMIJA in Lomé
Details
In the first century AD, before leaving his disciples, Jesus Christ told them "... and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth". Located in the city of Lomé and more precisely in the district of Ablogamé, the Church and Ministry Jesus My Insurance called "EMIJA" knows a development of its mission through its means of announcing the gospel of Jesus Christ from crusades and door to door campaigns. Its actions are accompanied by charitable works. The methodology adopted is based on bibliographical research, field observations, interviews and the administration of a questionnaire. Based on this methodological approach, the results of the investigations reveal that the development of the mission is subject to its means of announcing the Gospel and its charitable works among the population. The social, spiritual, economic, and cultural transformations resulting from the crusades and campaigns for the gospel of Jesus Christ and the charitable works are perceptible, a sign of the remarkable level of solidarity and participation of the EMIJA Church.
