Details

Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women. From diagnosis to post-treatment, physical and psychological changes occur, influencing women's quality of life. The results of the related studies consisted of themes that identified the meaning of treatment and mastectomy in women's lives. Body image is related to how women see themselves during and after breast cancer. Quality of life can be influenced by the type of surgery; the longer the surgery, the greater the difficulties in upper limb functionality, and the greater the morbidity, the more damage to general health, physical, functional, cognitive and social functions. Care must be provided in a comprehensive manner, with multi-professional support, support from family and friends, and above all support from the patient. The family needs a very special view during this process so that they can understand all the stages of the illness that their loved one is undergoing at the time. With regard to the rights and laws that ensure the entire process of the illness.

Autorentext

I'm 22 years old and I'm currently in the process of studying for a degree in health, to be more precise nursing. From the beginning of my degree I was interested in research, and when I took part in a congress in Cuba, I was offered the chance to publish this book, which became the culmination of my academic career.
