Dénes Lóczy, DSc, is the Head of the Institute of Environmental Sciences at the University of Pécs (Hungary). His research interests include floodplain geomorphology, management and human impact on the environment. He is editor of the books Landscapes and Landforms of Hungary and Geomorphological Impacts of Extreme Weather , previously published by Springer. In addition, he co-edited the books Anthropogenic Geomorphology and Recent Landform Evolution .
