The Dynamics of Cultural Tourism Development

Culture is an element which is the very fabric of civilization. In essence, cultural tourism overlaps into the other types of tourism because of its social nature. There are several determinants of the host community's attitudes towards cultural tourism development. The book also endeavors to reveal the dynamics cultural tourism development. The attitudes of the host community are of paramount importance because they can determine the sustainability of tourism development in a locality. The study focused on length of stay,age,dependency of tourism income and proximity to tourists' attractions as variables could influence how a host community views cultural tourism development. Destinations that have succeeded in tourism management are those that have not overlooked the host community's attitude towards tourism.
