The Ebola Pandemic: FBP Response Strategies

Ebola is a threat to all of humanity, especially in the face of environmental turbulence. The study includes Performance-Based Financing strategies in the response to Ebola. A qualitative approach is used to collect and analyze secondary data from the literature review. Four main areas of intervention in Ebola response are identified:(i) case management;(ii) case and contact tracing;(iii) laboratory services, safe and dignified burial;(iv) community participation and social mobilization.The application of the International Health Regulations (2005) in the context of Performance-Based Financing ensures global health security. The Burundian model has all the necessary characteristics for the implementation of these regulations in response to Ebola.
