The echo of the walls: Parkour in the urban space

This book is a sociological study of the discipline of Parkour, the street sport of moving in an urban or natural environment. The history, definition and basics of this art form will be discussed as well as its role in the urban environment. Extracts from interviews with practitioners of different levels and from different cities, as well as extracts from specialised articles, will support the author's remarks.

Frédéric Fauglas was born in 1986. After a degree in sociology at the University of Nantes, he went on to do a master's degree in Rennes and later in Montpellier. Passionate about sport, the author did not complete his master 2. He is now a sports coach.
