The economic burden of patients undergoing haemodialysis in Jordan

Chronic kidney disease is a global public health problem placing significant burden on patients and health care systems. Economic evaluations represent a policy tool to determine the burden of disease to obtain a health improvement. This book reflected the economic burden of haemodialysis; cost delivered by ministry of health and cost borne by patients and caregivers. In addition, the impact of dialysis treatment on Quality of life were discussed for patients and caregivers.

Dr Emad Shdaifat is an assistant professor at University of Dammam, He also serviced as senior lecturer at Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia. He is the author of many scientific publications. His research areas are health management and economics.He obtained his PhD in health management from National University of Malaysia in 2012.
