The Effect of Cash Based intervention on the livelihoods of refugees

Advocates of cash transfers argue that if designed and implemented carefully, cash transfer programs can improve beneficiary satisfaction while also reducing program costs and contributing to general economic development. Cash-based intervention in pastoralists and refugee settings is capable of protecting and restoring livelihoods, thereby improving economic and nutrition well-being. Since limited work has been done on cash-based interventions in pastoral areas particularly, in refugee context, the book will benefit governmental and non-governmental organizations, humanitarian practitioners, development and charity organization, academic and research institutions. The book would also be of great help for interns who are willing to embark on works relating to cash or commodity transfers in pastoral, agrarians and refugee contexts. The book suggests possible solutions to provide humanitarian assistance in refugee and pastoral context and suggests further readings on the subject.
