Many studies have been undertaken in the area of job satisfaction of employees in different organizations around the world, due to its critical influence on the success of the organization. Therefore, the understanding of aspects involved in job satisfaction, is very important and relevant to the well being of employees and job performance. A person who has a sense of personal well being in relation to work, who is more committed and engaged in his/her job, will generally be more satisfied and would be expected to work harder and be more productive. Therefore, the extent of employees' well-being is frequently recognized as a factor that influences an individual's decision to resign from his/her job. Banking Industry in Ethiopia is growing rapidly and incorporates many work forces to broaden the market share and competitive advantage. Banks are now competing not only to maximize their market share but also they are striving to retain the most valuable assets: employees. The aim of this research is to analyze the effect of motivational factors on employee job satisfaction in Lion International Bank and analyze the difference of JS level in demographic characteristics of employees.

Mikiyas Teshome is a Senior Banking Operation Officer at Commercial Bank of Ethiopia. He received his MBA from St. Mary's University. His research interest is in employee job satisfaction particular to the Ethiopian context. He is also interested in theological studies and currently studies theology at Ethiopian Graduate School of Theology.
