The effect of Tracnet use

Rwanda has been a pioneer in national initiatives to integrate technology into its expanding health care system. The introduction of Tracnet software to track information relating to HIV/AIDS in Rwanda has helped health professionals to improve the quality of service administered to clients but also in sharing information from one facility to another and to Ministry of Health. The sharing of information through the availability of the service in the Rwandan health system facilities has helped to control HIV/AIDS and to minimize its spread of HIV/AIDS among population. Since the implementation of tracnet in the Rwanda health facilities especially in Nyagatare district hospital there has not been any evaluation of its availability to users ( patients with HIV/AIDS, health caregivers and professionals) in order to improve HIV/AIDS service delivery.
