The effectiveness of the international legal framework for Official Development Assistance (ODA)

This book contributes to the recurrent debate on the effectiveness of official development assistance. Its merit lies on the one hand in its diagnostic analysis of the international legal instruments governing the aid mechanism and on the other hand in the prospects for reforming these instruments to make them more effective. The aim is to envision international norms and institutions that allow aid to be deployed with the sole purpose of reducing the dependence of recipient states on aid. From a scientific point of view, this book has the originality of introducing jurists and international law in the analysis of the effectiveness of official development assistance.

Titulaire d'un DESS en Droit international, Marius Kiswendsida ZONGO est un diplomate burkinabé, ayant intégré le Ministère des Affaires Etrangères en 2006 à l'issue d'un concours très sélectif duquel il fut le major. En 2011, il a reçu une distinction du prestigieux Forum de Crans Montana pour son leadership social et professionnel.
