The electron properties of the planar heterostructures based on graphene

This book is devoted to theoretical aspects of physics of planar heterostructures based on graphene. The proposed planar heterostructures greatly enhance the bandgap technology. It becomes possible to fabricate heterostructures with a given energy spectrum, which opens up even broader prospects for application of materials on the graphene basis. All problems in the book are standard for solid state physics. The presentation is built consecutively, logically and in sufficient detail for understanding not only by specialists in this field, but also by students and graduate students. The book will be useful to a wide range of readers interested in the current state of the graphene physics.

Pavel V. Ratnikov was born 20th January 1984. In June 2007, he finished the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. In October 2016, he defended the PhD dissertation "The electron properties of the planar heterostructures based on graphene" at the Lebedev Physical Institute. He is a researcher at the Prokhorov General Physics Institute of RAS.
