This Book was investigate the response to the question Why Ethiopia and Egypt could not agree on Nile utilization? The book makes an in-depth discussion on the main reasons for dispute over Nile and GERD and the stalemate of negotiations by observing dating back to most defining and interacting historical and political and legal scenes. It analyzed here the three main reasons for continued dispute and conflict over Nile. These are mistrusting each other, the legacy of British colonialism, and external influences. After the commencement of GERD since April 2011, Egypt was opposing the GERD. Egypt till believes that the "Nile is a gift of Egypt" rather than accepting the Nile as a gift of all Nile basin states resource. Again not, ready to accept amendments to colonial agreements.However; the best solution for Ethiopia to stop the dispute and transfer to cooperation with Egypt is completing the dam and ready herself for negotiating in a win-win approach as well as using the common water reasonably, equitably since the building is reach beyond 85%.

Wubishet Sisay Jima was born on Nov. 1981 in Asella, Ethiopia. He took BA in History from Dilla University, in 2004 and his MA in Population and Socio-Economic Development Planning from Adama Science and Technology Science in 2015. Finally, he took his PhD in Diplomacy from the University of International Business and Economics, China in June 2023.
