The External Dimension of EU Justice and Home Affairs

This book provides an analysis of the European Neighbourhood Policy by focusing on the impact of norms of justice and home affairs on EU external relations. Drawing on the literature of 'new governance' it designs a framework for analysis which clarifies the contents, tools and processes of the external dimension of EU justice and home affairs.

THIERRY BALZACQ is Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Namur and Research Director at the University of Louvain (CECRI), Belgium. He is also the Co-Director of the EU Justice and Home Affairs research programme at the Centre of European Studies at Sciences Po Paris. His articles have appeared in the Journal of Common Market Studies, European Journal of International Relations, Security Dialogue, International Review of Sociology, Review of International Studies, and Culture and Conflicts.
