The fall of Dallaether. Life is a Story - story.one

"This was not supposed to happen."Dallaether had long since become known as the mightiest human kingdom of its time. Being outdone only by the beauty of the Elven Royal Palace, they had everything one needed to live comfortably here in this realm of magic. Even the weather seemed to favour them as of late and so, naturally, it was very nice and very sunny, the day the kingdom of Dallaether faced its final moments. But how can a whole kingdom just vanish in a single day, you might wonder. How can everything go down the drain this fast? Well, to be fair, it might have been predestined a very long time ago... After all, what kingdom, calling themselves eternal, has lasted forever?

Ever since I first started writing more complex stories, when I was around 13 years old, I've enjoyed diving into darker topics. There was always something intriguing about exploring the very depths of the human mind that kept on pulling me in. I've decided that my first public story should encompass something I've found to be true, at least for myself. I believe, that only when we look deep inside our darkness as human beings, truly look for our flaws, can we understand what is wrong, accept it and find ways to do better. Because in the end, darkness, although unpleasant, has and will always be a part of our lives. And being scared of it, pushing it away, pretending it doesn't exist, will only make it feel scarier. I believe it's our duty as writers or artists in general to not be afraid of life and face topics we'd rather not.
