The Fragmented Body in the work of Joaquín Restrepo and M. Abakanowicz

The sculpture Ágora by Joaquín Restrepo in contrast to its homonym by the artist Magdalena Abakanowicz, is studied in order to show the reasons that led two contemporary artists, diametrically different in many aspects, to coincide in structuring their works, from the representation of bodies with the absence of some body parts and from the visual game that is achieved with the emptiness in these. Catherine Naval Rodríguez (1980) ist Lehrerin mit einem Abschluss in Leibeserziehung an der Universidad Pedagógica Nacional und einem Master in Ästhetik und Kunstgeschichte an der Universidad de Bogotá Jorge Tadeo Lozano. Derzeit unterrichtet sie Sport an der Nicolás-Buenaventura-Schule des Bildungsministeriums von Bogotá - Kolumbien.
