The Functional Equivalence

The aim of the book is to analyze in depth the issue of the functional equivalence between two languages in all possible faces. The book is divided into two chapters where the first, which is entirely theoretical, explains the theories of the biggest authors such as Bush, Nord, Catford, Nida, Jakobson and Baker, while the second is simply practical with the description of the most sensational examples extracted from the book I analyzed.

Cristian Di Cola was born in Bergamo, Italy.He was very passionate about foreign languages since he was a kid. He moved to Krakow, he attended and obtained the B.A. in English Philology-Applied linguistics, choosing Spanish as the second language. Additionally he learns Polish in order to have three foreign languages in his language-knowledge skill
