The fundamentals of general criminal law

General criminal law is a rather vast cross-disciplinary field. Mastering it requires a lot of work. This booklet comes at the right time to facilitate the task of the readers by presenting in a brief and concise way the elementary concepts and the fundamental principles of this subject. Through the definitions, explanations and essay topics covered, the author presents the essential features of this legal discipline. Thus, concepts such as the offence, complicity, co-perpetrator, suspended sentence, recidivism, sentence (...) are addressed. The subjects dealt with are grouped around the main themes of criminal law, which are the principle of the legality of offences and penalties, the application of criminal law over time, the attempt, the justifying facts, the causes of non-attributability, the factors of the criminal phenomenon, legitimate defence, etc. This book is characterized by the analysis made fundamentally in the light of the texts of Togolese criminal law.

Yooudèma ALOUKI es estudiante de doctorado en derecho privado en la Universidad de Lomé. Está interesado en el derecho penal en general y el derecho penal empresarial en particular. Su trabajo de tesis se centra en la delincuencia financiera en el área de la UEMOA. Tiene un Master 2 en justicia y derecho procesal y una licenciatura en derecho privado.
