The Genesis of Cyber Fraud in Some Part of Ghana

Over the past decade it has been noticed that, cyber fraud have spread almost all over the world which has made it a global issue. With some observations, the youth in Ghana have been tremendously involved in cyber fraud. These have drawn the attention of many scholars though it is difficult to identify the reality of the issue. According to Abia (2010), the exact meaning of cyber crimes or Internet Cyber Fraud may be very cumbersome and vague. Being a popular term, it has been used by many authors to describe the illegal activities related to the internet world or cyber space. For example, Casey (2004) considers internet crimes and frauds to be "any crime that involves computers and networks, including crimes that do not rely heavily on computers".
