The book examines the philosophical foundations of understanding happiness from the standpoint of spiritual harmony and material well-being.It emphasizes that in modern conditions to assess the welfare of the country and its citizens becomes insufficient to use only the cost indicators of the total produced product (gross or national).It presents the approaches used to assess welfare and happiness, indicates that the prerequisite for their achievement is a "green economy".
