Malaria is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in tropical countries, including the Gambia. In the Gambia cases of malaria are managed at all levels of the health care delivery system thereby worsening the over stretching the national health services. Flooding creates suitable environmental conditions for mosquito breeding.Malaria positions among the principal wellbeing issues confronting the world, particularly tropical nations. This endemicity of malaria has debilitated wellbeing conveyance administrations of the country. Ebo Town area records one of the most astounding malaria sickness cases in the nation. This research mulls over the predominance of malaria around the world. The research further discusses the occurrence of malaria in the Kanifing Municipality, and the historical backdrop of the slum settlement of Ebo Town locale. In this work, the author investigated the impacts of floodwaters on the lives Ebo Town slum dwellers in relation to the reasons, impacts, preventions and treatment of malaria. Particular consideration was given to reasons for high malaria prevalence in Ebo Town at this very moment, lack of awareness and absence of defensive gadgets.
