THE HIDDEN MANAGEMENT OF ARTS PROJECTS

While construction, engineering and IT have a foothold in the project management literature and in the journey to what is now normative project management, art projects are predominantly missing from the equation. This study engages with a range of artists, practitioners, producers, and project managers from the art world to capture what could be the missing thread within project management research. In the context of the wider development related to 're-thinking project management,' the practice undertaken within artistic projects may be a more accurate reflection of the naturally occurring uncertainty and ambiguity that comes with project organising.
