The Higher Education in Kosovo - Challenges of a Long Transition

The setting of this topic began with a speculative escapade, an imagining of where the truth lies regarding my question. Would there be anything in common between my speculation and reality? Scientific research would serve as intermediary between my imaginary voice and my critical voice; between possibilities and realities, between what I expected and my predispositions. My intuition would carry me further than I expected. Working on this book took less time than foreseen but more than I had at my disposal. There was navigation of a sea full of emotions that accompanied me throughout my work. At times I felt splendid, sometimes fearful, ambitious, and sometimes anxious, but never felt pessimistic. Born in Prishtina, Shukrie Rama graduated in 1997 at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Prishtina. She received a Master of Science degree in 2003 at the same university. She earned her PhD Degree in 2010, in the University for Peace, established by the United Nations. Rama is author of two books and numerous scientific publications.
