The History of Merging Parties: Formation of APC in Nigerian Politics

This book will analyze how politics in the Nigerian context is characterized by violence, suppression of opposition group and denial of individual liberties and massive corruption, insecurity, unemployment, due to poor leadership style exhibited by PDP led government since 1999 to April 2015. Secondly, this book has show case how democratic exercise would operate to produce good governance and flush out the bad actions inflicted by PDP led governance in the 16 years as a threat to democracy and good governance as well as bringing out good political action plan of All Progressive Congress (APC) as a new political tool that can ensure operation of true democracy and good governance in Nigeria. It is clear that the PDP lead government has failed the nation since the return of democracy in 1999. APC is a political machine that can get things right and produce the needed result in the effort of re-building Nigeria in 2015 and beyond to be one among top developed nations of the world. We have all the resources required for development, but poor leadership fails us. APC was formed as a call to answer major Nigerian problems: corruption, insecurity, unemployment violation of Human Rights
