The impact of Basel III on banks & the economy

Essentially, this book is focused on the new Basel III framework and its impact on banks as well as the economy. The main questions are, firstly, how the initiation of Basel III actually influenced banks, secondly if the impact can be classified as beneficial or adverse for banks and the economy and lastly, how the aggregate impact can be assessed. Additionally, in light of all findings, positive as well as negative ones, Basel III was judged on its adequacy for stabilizing the general economy.
