The Impact of Ethnic Militancy on National Security in Nigeria

The epistemology in of sociocultural agitations and youth grievances for autonomy, political sovereignty, coupled with: marginalization, politics of violence, illiteracy, unemployment, international conspiracy, poverty and unrest in transforming the ideals of ethic militia into violence, is becoming alarming and a symbol of threat to National security in Nigeria. The phenomenon is eventually attracting a vacuum for new criminality syndrome: destruction of cultural heritage, trafficking, illegal arm deal, kidnapping for ransom, displacement of occupants, exploitation and extortion. The current menace of the scenario is hampering or hindering the quest of the state to shield life and property. The damage is still on a verge; declining the Nation's opportunities for foreign investment, economic growth, youth development, effective democracy and tourism industry. The urge for a more plausible diplomatic and security measure is on loud to curtail and reshape the activities of ethnic militancy in Nigeria.
