The Impact of the European Union Cohesion Policy on Romania

The objective of this book is to study the impact of the European Union Cohesion Policy on the development of Romania from an economic point of view. One main aspect discussed is the evolution of the economic disparities at country level, between Romania and the European Union average. Another aspect of research is the dynamics of regional economic heterogeneity, inside Romania. The problem of economic inequalities between the Romanian citizens is also touched upon. The methods of research used are theoretical reviews, general statistical evidence and quantitative models of empirical data. This book is useful for the readers interested in the general effects of a large union on a new member, for those ones studying the Economics of European Union or the modern history of Romania and for any one else taking in consideration the promotion of economic equality and solidarity.
