The implementation of ICTs in financial institutions

Information and communication technologies (ICTs) are today a powerful tool that promotes and sponsors accelerated economic growth in developing countries. Communication Technologies (CT), such as radio, television and conventional telephony, paved the way for information technologies, characterized by the digitalization of content, communications and interfaces, thanks to the elasticity and ease of use of computers. The banking system is one of the sectors that has had the strongest revolution, thanks to the development of ICT's, offering various products, due to the convenience and ease that they provide such as transfers and balance inquiries, among others. ICT's, today so necessary in the banking system, turning it into a business of information processing rather than money. Mobile devices, from the telephone to the computer with large storage capacity, processing and transmission of information, have become indispensable elements for the opening of greater and better possibilities for companies in the financial sector.
