The present scientific composition deals with the question To what extent do corporate philosophy and business culture influence the process of strategic decision making ? In our time, more and more importance is attached to the terms of corporate philosophy and corporate culture, which shows the current relevance of this question. The corporate philosophy, which a company consciously offers to the public, reflects on the one hand its personnel management-, treatment and recruitment and on the other hand it shows the preferred way of marketing strategy. The most important aspect in this connection is that by analyzing the according corporate philosophy and culture, it is possible to draw a conclusion to the respective long term strategic direction of a company. The ultimate aim of this book is to be able to understand the effect that a corporate philosophy and solid business cultures may exert on the behaviour of a company as well as on other market participants and the public. An interview with the chairman of the management board of ifm electronic Mr. Michael Marhofer, provides a good insight into personnel and strategic decisions during the economic crisis, as well as the according communication and the potential conclusions that may be drawn for the future.

Dennis Schneider was born in 1986 in Duisburg.After reaching the A level at school, the author started his work experience at ifm electronic gmbh in Essen (Germany). Simultaneously he began a dual course of studies in international management.
