The Influence of International Organizations on Post-Conflict Liberia
Details
This book highlights and discusses the ways in which international organizations operating in post-conflict Liberia, especially between 2006 and 2008, used their partner and donor statuses, the fragility of the state, and the inability of the state to stand on its own and manage itself properly amid challenges to influence the domestic policy formulation of the country. The discussions concern the education sector, the economy, the judiciary, and how the country had to conform to the requirements of some international organizations to position itself for continued donor assistance.
