The influence of Islamic Heritage on contemporary Architecture

The author of the book has over forty years of experience in architectural and interior design, drawing inspiration from elements of Islamic architectural heritage for contemporary projects. This is based on applied research and field studies conducted on various heritage buildings in different environments. The aim of this study is to explore the influence of Islamic heritage on the architectural and interior design of contemporary projects designed by the author.The book is organized into three chapters: Chapter One: Provides a historical overview of Islamic architecture and discusses methods of drawing inspiration from architectural heritage in general. Chapter Two: Showcases models of various contemporary architectural projects designed by the author.* Chapter Three: Presents models of diverse interior design projects designed by the author. An appendix at the end of the book lists the architectural and interior design projects designed by the author mentioned in Chapters two and three.

Prof. Yehia H. Wazeri (Egyptian) is a Professor of Islamic architecture and former lecturer at Cairo University. His work has been recognized with numerous prestigious awards, reflecting his significant contributions to architecture and scholarly research. He won the Best Arab Architect Award in 2017 and was nominated for the King Faisal Prize.
