Using a vertical, hollow circular cylinder filled with a micropolar fluid, this book examines the subject of mixed convection heat transport in the presence of a magnetic field and buoyancy. We assume a temperature profile that is uniform across the surface. Following their transformation using the local non-similarity method and the two-equation model, the resultant nonlinear differential equations are solved numerically in MATLAB (Matrix Laboratory). Velocity and temperature profiles, local skin friction, and local heat transfer are studied to identify the effects of micropolar material, magnetic field, and buoyancy.
