The Island That Grew Back
Details
Alex, a young nature-loving adventurer, visits a remote island with his family, only to find it vanishing after a magical storm. The island's beaches erode, and animals disappear, weakened by overtourism. Guided by the island's elder, Sita, Alex learns that the island's heart, a mystical force sustaining its ecosystems, is fading. Determined to help, Alex teams up with local children-Maya, a plant expert; Rio, a builder; and Leilani, who communicates with animals. Together, they follow a magical compass, working to regenerate the island's damaged beaches, forests, and lagoon. With the help of a wise talking bird, Tala, they solve puzzles and face challenges to reach the island's heart, which can only be restored through an act of kindness. This inspiring adventure shows young readers the power of teamwork and small actions to help regenerate the environment.
