The Loners of McCarthy: A Study of Cormac McCarthy's DeviantCharacters

The book deals with the theme of aberrance and deviation in the selected novels of Cormac McCarthy. McCarthy is an established American writer of the modern times who has acclaimed many honours to his name. Much like himself, his characters are loners, who have either secluded themselves from the outer world or are rejected by it. Much stress and strife prevails, and within it the reader gets an abundant awareness of 'deviance' and its different aspects. The causes and effects of deviance upon the characters in particular and the society in general has been given a thorough analysis in the book.
