The meaning of the ethical dimensions of life

In recent years, in Latin America, the "Odebrecht and Lava Jato" cases have resonated worldwide and in the media. This shows that the distances between politics, economics and ethics are becoming shorter and shorter. There has been a rebirth of ethics and philosophy as sciences that seek to explain this current reality, which we could well call postmodern. Faced with this crisis of values, this work seeks to analyze the thinking of Dr. Johan Leuridan Huys, in his book: The Meaning of the Ethical Dimensions of Life. After making a genealogy to understand the reason for this crisis of values, virtue ethics is presented as an answer to the ethical problem. Taking as a starting point the thesis of this author and reviewing from his hand the thought of some current philosophers, we realize that we cannot remain with our hands folded in the face of relativism and current nihilism. This book seeks to give clues to today's reader, to help him understand the importance and primacy of values in the formation of the citizen in the face of today's individualism. Themes such as family, good and transcendence are the final corollary of this work that we put online today.
