The Method of Lines to Nonlocal Initial Boundary Value Problems

In this book, we analyze different types of partial differential equations, partial functional differential equations and partial integro-differential equations with nonlocal boundary conditions. We prove the existence and uniqueness theorems for the considered problems. Our work extends the application of the method of lines to the problems with nonlocal integral boundary conditions. The results obtained may be applied to functional differential equations arising in the modeling of many physical problems, for instance, the population dynamics, the heat diffusion process and other related problems.

Dr.Dabas is working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Science & Engineering, IIT Roorkee. After obtaining his Doctoral degree from IIT Kanpur, he has worked in BITS Pilani and MN NIT Allahabad as assistant professor. Dr. Dabas's areas of research interests include Differential Equations, Semigroup theory and Impulsive systems.
