Autorentext
Born in Britain, Chris Hummel graduated from Art College, doing a teaching qualification after her degree in order to delay the inevitable world of work. During this she met her Swiss husband who happened to be hanging around Manchester. Shortly after, they upped sticks to London where she taught in Hackney, which was known as 'The teacher's grave'. She survived, but moved on with her husband to Switzerland teaching art and art history for over twenty years in international schools. She took a break in the middle to do a qualification in art therapy at London University during which time she worked in a psychiatric ward at UCH. She currently practices art therapy and teaches art privately. She writes short stories and has had poetry read on BBC radio. This is her first full-length novel.
