The modern sexual revolution: factors and characteristic traits
Details
The work discusses some developments in the modern Western and Russian sexual revolution which is seen as a multidimensional and clearly inevitable consequence of global industrial revolution. While the most of authors who wrote on the subject of this revolution mention about five characteristics of it, V. Anurin points at nine. Empirical study conducted by author in the course of his research of related issues led him to conclude that a) intensity of double standard in evaluations of sexual behavior of men and women is becoming lower for younger generations and for women than for men, b) we can observe the growth of openness of sexuality, of commercialization of sexual sphere and c) age of sexual début takes place obvi-usly earlier than in case of elder generations.Judging by the data of surveys, dynamic and structure of sexual behavior of Russian youths and girls are the same as in the USA and Western Europe in the late 1960-th.
