The Nature of Dependency in the Socio-Economic Development of Pakistan

Since its inception, Pakistan has shown heavy dependency on foreign assistance from various donors and international financial institutions for its socio-economic development; which highlights the need for research to identify the nature of this dependency. This book adopts a new approach towards the issue. While revisiting the famous dependency theory of development, it investigates the subject from those who were Pakistan's top decision-makers and policy planners to find out if this continued dependency is voluntary or compulsive in nature.
