On July 30, 2002, President George W. Bush signedinto law the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, also knownas the Public Company Accounting Reform and InvestorProtection Act of 2002. At the heart of the Act isthe mandate for corporate reform from the massivefinancial and leadership fraud of the late 1990s andearly 2000s. This book attempts to look deep intothe soul of the Act not only evaluating the efficacyof the policy, but also to verify the heralding fora new dedication to the ethical and moral boardroomin the public corporation. The project consultslegislative, legal, historical, and philosophicalprimary and secondary research to confirm the bigquestion, 'Does Good Behavior Pay Off?' Theoverarching goal is to ascertain to what extent doesthe Aristotelian credo of arete, or humanexcellence, serve the Future Manager and find itsformula in The New Corporation.
